Ms. Winfrida Ngumi is a distinguished business leader with over 22 years of experience in Kenya’s Building and Construction sector as well as the Manufacturing Industry. Since founding Space and Style Limited in 2002, Ms. Ngumi has driven its growth, positioning it as a market leader in manufacturing and distribution of building solutions.

Director Ngumi has a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and is a member of The Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK) as well as The Architects Alliance (TAA). She has undergone several executive trainings from prestigious institutions like the Strathmore Business School and Stanford SEED. Her commitment to continuous learning underscores her dedication to excellence and innovation in her field.

Beyond the entrepreneurial endeavours, Ms. Ngumi plays pivotal roles in industry associations and regulatory bodies, showcasing her commitment to standards and quality. She chairs the Building, Mining, and Construction Sector at the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) and is a corporate member of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA). Additionally, her active participation in technical committees at the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) demonstrates her dedication to advancing industry standards and best practices.

Ms. Ngumi has displayed exemplary leadership as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Authority. Her commitment to enhancing corporate governance practices in both private and public institutions extends from her former engagement as the Chairman of the Centre for Corporate Governance Alumni Network. She has previously been recognised by esteemed organizations such as Women in Manufacturing (WIM), Women in Real Estate (WIRE), Women on Boards Network (WOBN), All Africa Business Leadership Awards (AABLAs) among others, through which her influence and impact in the business community has been felt.
